The base of each placemat is woven from natural burlap jute — an earthy, biodegradable fiber valued for its texture and warmth. The lace border is finished in cotton thread; the fringe variant (Style C) uses soft cotton yarn. Burlap is a natural material: slight texture variation and minor shedding are a normal characteristic of the fiber, not a defect.
