Seagrass Belly Basket — Natural Woven Storage Organizer, Plant Pot Cover & Boho Hamper

The Seagrass Belly Basket is a woven storage basket in 100% natural seagrass, made in seven sizes from 13 × 15 × 17 cm to 34 × 40 × 45 cm (opening × height × belly). With reinforced woven handles and a foldable body, it works as a plant pot cover, laundry hamper, toy organizer, or towel basket. Earthy, organic, and quietly beautiful, it brings the warmth of natural texture into any room — and ships free to 34 countries from Bohoartis.

✦ Design & Shape

The belly basket silhouette is one of the most enduring forms in natural fiber storage: curved wide at the centre, tapering gently toward a stable base, and opening generously at the top for easy access. This timeless shape isn't just beautiful — it maximises interior volume while keeping a compact visual footprint. The surface features the characteristic irregular weave of natural seagrass, with mixed light and dark tones that shift subtly depending on the light. Natural seagrass varies in texture and tone, so each basket looks slightly different.

✦ Material

Crafted from 100% natural seagrass, this basket is a natural plant-fibre weave. The sturdy woven handles are reinforced for practical everyday use — strong enough for laundry, generous enough for floor-level plant displays. As with all natural plant fibers, you may notice slight color variation between batches, small fiber ends at the weave edges, or subtle tonal shifts between lighter and darker strands. These are inherent characteristics of natural seagrass, not imperfections.

✦ Where to Use It

The belly basket is one of the most versatile storage pieces in the boho-natural interior toolkit. Use it as a plant pot cover in the living room — the wide belly accommodates most standard nursery pots, and the neutral tone complements terracotta, rattan, linen, and pampas grass styling effortlessly. In the bathroom, it holds rolled towels, toilet paper, or bath products with quiet elegance. As a laundry hamper in the bedroom or nursery, it combines practicality with the warmth of natural fibre. In a child's room or nursery, it becomes an organic toy organiser — safe, foldable, and easy to move.

• Living room — throw blankets, magazines, plant pot cover display
• Bedroom — laundry hamper, accessories, bedside storage
• Bathroom — towels, toilet paper, bath products
• Nursery — diapers, stuffed animals, baby blankets
• Kids' room — toy storage with a wide opening for easy tidying
• Entryway — keys, mail, seasonal decor accents
• Kitchen — fruit, bread, herbs, or farmers' market overflow

It also makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for anyone drawn to boho, Scandi, farmhouse, Japandi, or cottagecore interiors — and works beautifully styled in grouped sets of two or three different sizes.

✦ A Note on Natural Variation

Natural seagrass is harvested in batches and dried before weaving, which means color tone, surface texture, and strand density vary slightly from piece to piece. You may notice a mild earthy scent when your basket first arrives — this fades naturally within a few days in a ventilated space. These qualities are what make each basket a genuinely individual object.

✦ Dimensions

Each size is listed as Opening × Height × Belly (widest point). Choose based on the diameter of your plant pot, the volume of your laundry, or the scale of the space you're styling.

• Size A — 13 × 15 × 17 cm / 5.1" × 5.9" × 6.7" · Small plants, desk organiser, bathroom
